Gearriveerd - Arrived

Net 2 dagen geleden zijn we aangekomen in Kaapstad. Het is even bijkomen en wennen, maar nu beginnen we al in het juiste ritme te komen.Hieronder zie je het vliegtuig van British Airways waarmee ik in Zuid Afrika aankwam. Claudia kwam 4 uurtjes later aan. Zij had een langere reis gemaakt. Van Belém, naar São Paulo en dan via Johannesburg naar Kaapstad. Ze is nu in ieder geval over haar jetlag heen.

Just 2 days ago we arrived in Capetown. It is quite some to readjust and get rest, but now we are starting to get in to the right rhythm. Below you can see the plane of British Airways which brought me to South Africa. Claudia arrived 4 hours later. She had a longer trip. From Belém to São Paulo and then via Johannesburg to Capetown. Right now she is getting over her jetlag.

 

Direkt na aankomst zijn we naar het strand geweest. Het is nogal omgeploegd, zoals is te zien, maar dat was vast vanwege de volleyball wedstrijden van de volgende dag. Maar ik zal nog wel meer foto's maken van dit strand. Het is nu lekker warm met een koel windje.

Direct after arrival we went to the beach. It is kind of plowed, like you can see in the pictures, but that was probably because of the volleyball games the next day. But I will show more pictures of this beach. Right now it is warm with a cool breeze.

Yesterday I was interviewed for the Church programm of the local Radio Station Radio Aalsmeer. I am telling about life history and about my work with Youth with a Mission. Ik droom van.. -◊◊◊- Dreaming of..

Alweer ruim een maand terug in Nederland. Krijg regelmatig de vraag wat het plan is, blijf je hier of ga je weer? Om iedereen in te lichten en dat ook via mijn blog te doen: Op dit moment ben ik even hier, maar ik ga er ook weer op uit. De planning is September, en het reisdoel is Zuid Afrika en de uitdaging voor 9 maanden hard studeren in de Bijbel in een school van Jeugd Met Een Opdracht: De School voor Bijbelse Studies (SBS).

Op dit moment worden de papieren verwerkt en leef ik me al helemaal in om naar Zuid Afrika te gaan. Zo lees ik op dit moment een boek van Connie Braam over de Anti Apartheids Beweging. Van mijn tante heb ik ook twee boeken gekregen met Zuid Afrika als onderwerp, één van de boeken is geheel in het Afrikaans.

Already more than a month back in the Netherlands. Regularly get the question what the plan is, to stay here or are you leaving again? To inform everyone and to also do that through by blog: At the moment I am here for a while, but I am also on the move again. The planning is September, and the destiny is South Africa and the challenge to study the Bible for 9 months very intense in a school with Youth With A Mission: The School of Biblical Studies (SBS).

At the moment the papers are in process and I already put my mind into going to South Africa. Right now I am reading a book by Connie Braam about the Anti Apartheids Movement. From my aunt I received two books about South Africa and one is even in Afrikaans.
