Een kunstwerk wat ik gemaakt heb tijdens de Profetische Art Workshop: Jeremia met een vogelverschrikker in een veld met meloenen. Letterlijk uit de Bijbel, Jeremia 10:5. Betekenis is dat afgoden stom zijn, inclusief de moderne afgoden, zoals idols.

An art piece that I made during the Prophetic Art Worship: Jeremiah with a scarecrow in a field of melons. Litarly from the Bible, Jeremiah 10:5. Meaning is that idols are stupid, including the modern day versions of idols.

De funky kleur verdoezeld het wat sombere weer van die dag.

Het apartement waarin ik woon bevindt zich op de 2e verdieping in het midden. 

The apartment in which I live you can find on the second floor in the middle.

Het ligt vlakbij de Muizenberg met zicht op de Vals Baai.

It lies close to the Muizenberg Mountain with a view on False Bay.

Calvin vs Arminius

 Hier onder een tekening die ik gemaakt heb voor de brief Romeinen. Tijdens de les had ik een simpele versie getekend, wat ik later gebruikt heb voor de praktische toepassing. Deze brief bracht behoorlijk wat twee deling in de kerk. Maar dat is tegenovergestelde van wat Paulus schreef. Vandaar dat ik Johannes Calvijn (Jean Calvin) en Jacob Hermanszoon (Arminius) broederlijk heb afgebeeld. Eenheid, geen tweedracht is de boodschap van Paulus brief aan de Romeinen.

  Below is a drawing I made for the letter to the Romans. During class I did have make a simple drawing which I want to make a bit better for my application. But it does show a bit of what happened in the church history that created divisions. Which was the opposite to what Paul wrote the letter for. This is why I drew both John Calvin (Jean Calvin)and Arminius (Jacob Hermanszoon) together in a brotherly hug. Unity, not division is the message of Paul's letter to the Romans.
